Apart from the fresh graphic redesign that keeps the recognizable image of the JP-Australia boards we have a few completely new shapes and a new technology. The very popular SURF 86x29 is a completely new board with a more radical outline, narrow nose and progressive rocker shape that was proven to be a winner with the smaller sizes like the 80 and the 82. The whole range is based on radical surf board designs adapted and adjusted for the needs of SUP. Each size has a specific bottom shape concept suited to the size. They are equipped with a narrower nose section, higher entry and extra rocker for real surf board feeling. The more pulled-in pointy nose section does not limit the rider in radical bottom turns as its combination with the fast scoop rocker line develops heaps of drive. Thin smooth rails slice effortless through the water surface and provide amazing grip. This in combination with the accelerating tail kick gives the boards an incredible loose ride. Our unique fin angle concept has proved to be unmatched when it comes down to speed necessary for either catching waves or busting aerials. New for 2015 are the fins. In the PRO line the boards come with a full set of Resin Transfer Molded fins. Another novelty to the SURF range is the 810x30 which is now available in AST construction as well as in the standard Wood and the PRO edition. The whole range comes with an FCS plug in the nose to attach your GoPro camera. All boards come with a thruster setup and also feature a mastfoot insert to attach a windsurf rig and are great windsurfing wave boards. The PRO layup of our SURF and SURF WIDE BODY boards has no carbon as we believe that carbon makes the boards too stiff for the surf. We have kept a natural flex pattern with strategic dual density sandwich layup and optimizing of the fiber direction. Importantly, our PRO boards are the lightest boards on the market that come with a deck pad.

Therefore we worked on a board range that is very short, compact and has the ability to carve super tight turns. We kept the stability you need in mind while standing in the lineup and especially paddling your way out through the white water. The shapes feature a flat deck, especially in the standing area. The rails bevel off to achieve the thin rail radius every rider dreams off during radical wave rides. Even though the boards are rather wide they give you the feeling of using a short board. The quad fin setup supports the radical performance. Even when the board is fully railed up you still have two fins driving you through the turns. The bottom is equipped with a mono concave nose section running into a flat V which increases towards the tail for additional rail rocker. The SURF WIDE BODY range is growing too. The 93x32 is the new supersized addition to the fun SURF WIDE BODY range. It keeps the thin railed, maneuverable character of the smaller sized siblings in spite of its 146 liters of volume. Just like the rest of the FUSIONs it features a nice step deck which allows keeping lots of volume while still having nice thin rails. This sleek design carries the volume and width in all the right places for a stable paddle platform. The bottom shapes feature concaves throughout running into a V towards the tail. The V in the tail helps to rail up when going down a wave. Their noses create efficient lift and the thinned out rails produce good bite during turns. Quite a bit of nose rocker makes the shapes fit well into the waves. They are available in PRO, Wood Edition and in AST technology. The 102 is also available as a Soft Deck version. For this year we added the FCS plugs to the AST line so they can be used in a thruster set up as well. The narrow tail, in combination with increased V, makes them very loose and responsive. A flat deck curve gives the rider confidence when paddling and the stability needed to cross the breaking waves. We added the 114x29 for the lighter riders and the SPORTSTER TOURING 120x32 for the bigger riders or the relaxed cruises. STABLE AND FAST The SPORTSTERs can be either no-compromise full-on race boards for the bigger guys or relaxed touring shapes for the lighter paddleboarders. SPORTSTER A user-friendly race board, designed as the perfect vehicle for distance paddling. For most amateur racers they will be faster than full-on race boards as they are more stable and easier to handle than race boards. Furthermore for the big guys they will work better than the RACEs due to the added stability of the wider shape. They work great in anything from really flat water to rough conditions. They feel at home on lakes, rivers and the ocean and are fantastic for core work out and fitness paddling. Based on race board designs they come with a low displacement piercing nose which cuts through the water like a knife. As the scoop rocker line is based on the RACE concept it provides for the maximum waterline. The thin hull ensures a low standing position, which allows you to transfer all the paddling power into a forward momentum. The rounded rails are forgiving, and do not get affected by sideways chop or wind. This proven shape concept has received two new additions for 2015: We added the SPORTSTER 114x29 for the lighter riders and the SPORTSTER TOURING 120x32 for the bigger riders or the relaxed cruises. SPORTSTER OPEN OCEAN The SPORTSTER Open Oceans primary goal is to be able to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a swell while maintaining speed to stay upon them, navigating them as long as possible and connect easily to the next swell. The SPORTSTER Open Ocean has a lot more overall curve compared to its flat water sibling. The SPORTSTERs come in affordable Wood Edition technology as well as in full Carbon wrap technology. New for 2015 are the 4-plug bungee cords for attaching necessities for a comfortable cruise and the lightweight RTM (Resin Transfer Molded) US-box fins. RaceCARBON board technology Glossy rails, matt deck and bottom We followed the same principles in development of the narrow versions -the 126x25 and the 140x24, 5- and continue with the distinguished narrow outline and the proven sharp piercing nose. This creates a smooth water flow along the entire board length as the sharp piercing nose cuts the waters surface and displaces it at the same time. To avoid drag were the piercing nose transforms into a flat bottom shape we developed a new concept which continues to displace the water almost all the way towards the tail. Displacing water only works with a round cross section. Stability would suffer tremendously. Therefore we had to come up with a unique cross section shape. It has a round center part with flat sections towards the rail almost pronounced like bevels. We also worked on the volume distribution to guarantee perfect water position. While paddling the piercing nose just cuts a few centimeters below the water surface and the tail releases right on top of the water without any drag or turbulences. This way we can take the advantage of the longest possible water line without losing any speed. We took out some volume in the nose section to make the board less sensitive to side winds but continued with the proven feature of the domed deck. This feature is effective in all conditions, if the nose gets pushed under water it will pop out immediately displacing the water as it runs off instantly and the board is able to continue without being submerged.The standing area features a sunk-in cockpit with reduced side walls. This deck shape allows the water to flow off the board immediately without the use of drain pipes. The narrow version of the 126 race board features a unique bottom shape. To increase stability the round displacement bottom flows into a flat V-bottom right before the standing area. Besides this, the overall bottom curve is slightly increased to make the board more forgiving in open waters and offer better tail release for heavier guys. This racing machine will be hard to beat in the 126 class. The RACE OPEN OCEAN models will be your first choice for open ocean races or downwind runs due to the curved rocker line which is designed to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a wave and connect easily to the next one. The construction of all the RACE boards remains the full deck and bottom carbon wrap for the ultimate in light construction and performance. New features on 2015 models will be the grab handles instead of the built in handles for even lower weight as the built in handles carry unnecessary 200 grams of water around with you. All the 126 models have two additional handle side positions for beach starts and the board comes with two handles. The 140 comes with one handle position.  Sportster - Carbon SPORTSTER FLAT WATER With the SPORTSTER FLAT WATER we introduced a new board concept: A user-friendly race board, designed as the perfect vehicle for distance paddling in calm water. For most amateur racers they will be faster than full-on race boards as they are more stable and easier to handle than race boards. Furthermore for the big guys they will work better than the RACEs due to the added stability of the wider shape. They work great in anything from really flat water to slightly choppy conditions. They feel at home on lakes, rivers and the ocean and are fantastic for core work out and fitness paddling. SPORTSTER ALL WATER When we developed the new RACE ALL WATER we figured out that this board concept is fantastic for the costal environment and we need to come up with a user friendlier version by just adding the overall width. Paddling in the ocean is one of the most popular environments to take SUP boards these days not to mention the popular concept of costal downwind paddle runs. The SPORTSTER ALL WATERs primary goal is to be able to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a swell while maintaining speed to stay upon them, navigating them as long as possible and connect easily to the next swell. The SPORTSTER ALL WATER has a lot more overall curve compared to its flat water sibling.

 Race-CarbonRACE FLAT WATER Compromise is never an option and will not get you the win. We developed 2 sizes of the RACE FLAT WATER, the 14x24.5 and the 126x25. The RACE FLAT WATER 14 offers more stability due to its length as a result, the overall width could be reduced slightly to maximize the speed of the board. The new race boards come with a distinguishable narrower nose section. The sharp piercing nose is able to cut through the waters surface, offering the longest possible waterline. With the use of a long water line, these RACE boards are able to produce and attain maximum speeds with every paddle stroke, thus creating a better overall and efficient board. The mid-section of the board has a sunk-in cockpit with a flat V bottom shape providing maximum stability for the rider. The scoop rocker line in this area is kept rather flat to enable the hull to maintain high speeds over a longer time. A parallel outline in the mid-section tapers down to a narrow tail. The flat scoop rocker line from the mid-section of the board increases to a reasonable tail kick. These two design features guarantee a clean water release with minimum drag. The cross section of the board has been designed that no water will stay on the deck and can run off immediately. For these new shapes, the effective design doesnt need drainpipes. RACE ALL WATER The RACE ALL WATER is the perfect tool for all kinds of competition formats which pop up around the world. Not just down wind races, also races where you have to go through breaking waves on the way out and try to surf them on the way in. The RACE ALL WATERs primary goal is to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a swell while maintaining speed to ride it as long as possible and to connect easily to the next swell. The bottom curve of the board needs to fit in between the swells thus creating a constant slope which keeps the board moving at all times effi ciently with speed and precision to avoid ever coming to a halt. The thin profile of the board and the flat deck ensure a low standing position.
